COLUMBIA - Nicole Martin scored 15 points for Jefferson City on Tuesday, but the Lady Jays fell short in a 61-46 loss to the Hickman Kewpies.
The Kewpies led 16-8 after one quarter, 29-17 at the half and 43-30 after three quarters. Hickman is the No. 1 team in the latest Class 5 state poll by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association.
Jefferson City (13-10) plays at 7:30 p.m. today at Rock Bridge.
