MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Saniya Chong awakened UConn from a lackluster first half to finish with 17 points, Kia Nurse added 18 and the No. 2 Huskies beat Memphis 80-34 on Saturday.
Huskies coach Geno Auriemma benched scoring leaders Breanna Stewart and Morgan Tuck after about 5 minutes and held them out of the rest of the game.
Chong was a major factor in a 21-2 run that that gave UConn (22-1, 12-0 American Athletic) a 21-point lead for UConn. Chong was 5 of 7 from the field to help UConn win its 21st straight.
Ariel Hearn led Memphis (11-12, 5-7) with 13 points.
NO. 18 PRINCETON 75, CORNELL 47
PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) - Alex Wheatley and Michelle Miller each scored 14 points and Princeton beat Cornell to remain one of two unbeaten teams in women's basketball.
Princeton (21-0, 5-0 Ivy) matched its longest winning streak in program history, set in the 2009-10 season, and extended its Ivy League-record start.
Nia Marshall led Cornell (13-7, 4-2) with 14 points.
Top-seeded South Carolina is 22-0. It faces No. 2 UConn on Monday night.
