A Jefferson City man is in custody following a foot pursuit early Wednesday morning.
Police reports show officers were called just after 1:30 a.m. for a report of a shot fired in the Elizabeth/Buena Vista Street area.
Responding officers noticed a vehicle leaving the scene, and when they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
Officers gave chase and pursued the suspect on foot into a nearby creek, where he fell and was taken into custody.
Additionally, officers located a .38 special revolver, fully loaded with one spent casing, right by the suspect. The firearm was found to have been reported stolen from Jefferson City.
The suspect, DeAngelo Frazier, 25 was arrested for resisting arrest, receiving stolen property and unlawful use of a firearm.
