ELDON - The Tuscumbia Lady Lions captured the championship of the Eldon Tournament by dropping Lebanon 81-78 in overtime Saturday's title game.
Lebanon took a 17-13 lead after one quarter, but Tuscumbia tied it up at 35 heading into halftime. The Lady Jackets then held a 49-47 lead after three quarters, but the Lady Lions forced overtime by tying it at 71 at the end of regulation.
Tuscumbia then outscored Lebanon 10-7 in the extra session to win it.
Kendra Vaughan racked up 29 points for the winners, while MaKayla Vaughan had a double-double by scoring 24 points and ripping down 10 rebounds.
Also for Tuscumbia, TaKayla Gunter and Tempary Gunter added 11 points each. Kendra Vaughan and TaKayla Gunter had eight assists each.
The Lady Lions are now 18-1 on the season.
