HERMANN, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays dropped a 25-14, 26-24 decision Thursday to the Hermann Lady Bearcats.
Janice Steacy finished with 44 assists for the Lady Jays. Cara Caby totaled eight digs, while Cameryn Campbell and Tatum Gaines had two service aces each. Maddi Stone had five kills.
Jefferson City (1-2) will play Monday at Sedalia Smith-Cotton.
In the JV match, Jefferson City defeated Hermann in three games (28-30, 25-12, 25-23). Tori LePage had 20 service points for Jefferson City, while Sam Murray totaled 15. Stephanie Fisher had 12 kills, while Madison Creach dished out 10 assists.
The Lady Jays dropped the freshman match 25-20 14-25, 18-25. Maddie Jones had nine assists for Jefferson City, while Carlee Brehe had four kills and Zoe Stratman added three.
