Three injured in area accidents

A New Bloomfield teenager was treated for serious injuries after an accident involving three all-terrain vehicles Monday morning in Callaway County.

Highway Patrol reports show the accident occurred at 11:55 a.m. at Missouri 94 and County Road 465.

Ajay Cave, 18, New Bloomfield, was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Ty Siegel, 17, Fulton, ejecting both drivers.

While Cave's vehicle was overturning, it was struck by a vehicle driven by Kayla Ward, 17, Portland.

Cave's vehicle struck Cave who was lying in the roadway.

Siegel and Ward had no reported injuries.

In other area wrecks:

• A Bland teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 10:25 p.m. Sunday on Missouri 89 north of County Road 805 in Osage County.

According to the Highway Patrol report a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven southbound by Logan J. Shanks, 18, failed to negotiate a curve and overcorrected. The vehicle then traveled off the right side of the road and struck a fence and a tree.

Shanks was taken to St. Mary's Hospital.

He was wearing a seat belt.

• A Hermann man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 8:45 a.m. Monday on Route F east of Missouri 19 in Gasconade County.

The patrol reported a 1995 Toyota Tercel, driven eastbound by Patrick J. Anderson, 54, struck a deer as it crossed the path of the vehicle.

Anderson was taken to Hermann Hospital.

He was wearing a seat belt.
