Special Olympics Missouri and area law enforcement officers are hosting the annual Swingin' for SOMO Golf Tournament on Sept. 14 at Railwood Golf Club in Holts Summit.
All proceeds from the tournament benefit local athletes who compete year-round in Special Olympics Missouri.
Participating law enforcement agencies include Jefferson City Police Department, Jefferson City Correctional Center, Cole County Sheriff's Department and Troop F of the Highway Patrol.
The tournament will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.; registration will start at noon. Lunch is included and will be served at 11:30 a.m.
The entry fee is $300 per four-man team. The entry fee covers green fees for 18 holes, cart, lunch and a tax-deductible donation to Special Olympics Missouri.
