Lincoln golf competes at MIAA Championship

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Lincoln men are in a tie for fifth after the second of three days in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Championship, while the Blue Tiger women are in last place.

On the men's side, Central Missouri leads the 11-team race with a total of 310-290-600, just 2 over on the par-72 Alvamar Golf Club. Central Oklahoma is second at 615, followed by Washburn (630) and Lindenwood (635). Lincoln and Southwest Baptist are tied for fifth at 638.

Central Missouri's Cy Moritz and Central Oklahoma's Eric Kline are tied for the individual lead at 147.

Drew Geritz at 79-77-156 and Austin Ruediger at 80-76-156 are the top Blue Tiger performers, as they're tied for 11th.

Also for Lincoln, Cody Shaw is tied for 22nd at 83-78-161 and Blake Lammers is tied for 34th at 83-82-165.

On the women's side, Central Oklahoma is tops in the 10-team event with a 631, 13 strokes better than second-place Lindenwood. Lincoln sits in 10th at 753.

Baylee Price of Northeastern State is individual leader with a two-day total of 154.

Leading the way for Lincoln is Sophia Pardalos, who's tied for 20th at 83-87-170. Also competing for the Blue Tigers are Lauren McHenry (35th, 92-89-181), Mackenzie Wilson (tied for 46th, 97-98-195) and Hanna Berendzen (48th, 103-104-207).
