Longtime Jefferson City business Busch's Florist will open its third Mid-Missouri location Monday in Linn.
The new Busch's Florist is located at 913 E. Main St. in Linn, and joins the original shop at 620 Madison St. in Jefferson City and an additional location on Broadway Street in Columbia.
Owners Nick and Heather McKague purchased the historic business, maintaining its family-operated status, and decided to open the Linn shop in a building they already own and where they also operate a laundromat, Spotless Laundry.
The expansion will allow more delivery options to Osage County customers.
"We're currently delivering to Linn already, so this just allows us to provide more service to that whole area," said Nick. "We're going to deliver to all of Osage County over into Westphalia. We'll even deliver into Belle."
Previously Busch's Florist had made deliveries in Osage County only for funerals, and did not deliver to Belle.
"Anything we can do in Jeff City we'll be able to do in Linn," McKague said. "We'll manage the greenhouse out of Jeff providing plants there and then we'll have a full-time designer and customer service there every day."
The Linn store also will offer the same types of gift items, sympathy statues and fresh flowers available in Jefferson City.
Busch's Florist will celebrate its 125th anniversary next year. McKague said, at this time, they have no plans to open additional Busch's Florist locations.
Busch's Florist in Linn opens Monday and will operate from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays. The new store's phone number is 573-897-0300.
