IBERIA, Mo. - Eugene baseball won Monday, defeating Iberia 8-3.
Eugene plated three runs in the second inning and four in the fourth to take the big lead. Iberia scored three times in the bottom of the fifth to make it 7-3 before Eugene got one of the runs back in the sixth.
Corey Love drove in three runs for the Eagles, while Brent Adrian had two RBI. Nolan Wunderlich had two hits, while Adam Schenewerk and Caleb Darnel scored twice.
Love pitched five innings to get the win. He allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven. Travis Rush worked the final two frames, striking out two.
Iberia won the JV game 3-1.
