Area teens injured in separate accidents

A Macks Creek teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday on Old South Missouri 5 in Camden County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a 1993 Buick Park Avenue, driven by Jonna K. Wetherol, 19, crossed the center line, overcorrected and went off the right side of the road, overcorrected again and lost control, overturning three times.

Wetheroll was taken to University Hospital in Columbia.

She was wearing a seat belt.

• A Meta teen was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at 5th and Pine in Meta in Osage County.

The patrol reported a mini-bike, driven southbound by Caleb M. Wieberg, 19, Meta, failed to yield at a stop sign to a 2012 Kalmar tractor, driven westbound by Paul. S. Libbert, 28, Meta and drove into the side of the Libbert vehicle.

Wieberg, who was not wearing a set belt, was taken to University Hospital.

Libbert was wearing a seat belt.
