JC man granted probation after May drug raid

A Jefferson City man was placed on five years supervised probation for pleading guilty to charges in connection with a drug raid in May.

Richard C. Turner Jr., 35, was charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance.

The charges dated back to March 2012.

Turner was one of 30 suspects arrested for distribution of controlled substances, including heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, ecstasy and marijuana, along with other narcotics-related crimes.

The raid was the result of a lengthy undercover investigation conducted by the Missouri Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Mustang Drug Task Force.
