St. Elizabeth defeats Crocker 8-2 in softball

ST. ELIZABETH, Mo. - Sarah Heckemeyer drove in five runs Thursday to power the St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets to an 8-2 victory against the Crocker Lady Lions.

Heckemeyer had two doubles in the victory and scored a run. Sarah Struemph had two hits and two RBI for the Lady Hornets.

Regan Wilde had three hits and was on base four times for the Lady Hornets. Taylor Helton and Megan Kemna had two hits each, with Helton scoring twice. Emma Kemna had an RBI and scored a run.

Wilde was the winning pitcher, allowing five hits and striking out five.

St. Elizabeth (7-6) will play Monday at Iberia.

Crocker won the JV game 2-0.
