Shea leads Lady Crusaders to win at Fulton Invitational

FULTON, Mo. - The Helias Lady Crusaders claimed the girls team title Saturday at the Fulton Invitational.

Helias captured the crown with 55 points, four points better than Fatima in the 18-team field.

Kaitlyn Shea of the Lady Crusaders took individual honors with a course-record time of 19:15.22. Kayla Yanksey of the Lady Crusaders was second (19:35.37), while Kylie Frank finished ninth (21:15.31).

Brianna Haller paced the Fatima girls, taking third in 19:40.07. Two other Lady Comets finished in the top 10 - Madison Day was sixth (20:40.89) and Riley Caminiti was seventh (20:43.32).

The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons finished sixth with 212 points. Kasey Kerperin led Blair Oaks by taking 19th in 21:43.80.

The California Lady Pintos were 10th, finishing with 239 points. Katie Imhoff was the top California finisher, taking 24th in 22:04.37

The Eldon Lady Mustangs finished 14th with 345 points. Faith Parrent finished 20th in 21:48.00 to lead Eldon.

The Southern Boone Lady Eagles were 16th with 421 points. Amanda Brush was 51st in 23:37.57 to pace Southern Boone.

Harley Nale of Linn finished 15th in the event with a time of 21:34.48.

In the JV girls race, Helias finished with a perfect 15 points to take the title in the three-team event. Claire McDonald led Helias, taking second in 22:43.64. Several schools did not field complete teams.
