JC man sentenced for 2013 burglary

A Jefferson City man was placed on five years supervised probation for pleading guilty to charges in connection with a business burglary in July 2013.

Joshua Temmen, 22, pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary and resisting arrest.

Court records show officers responded to a burglary alarm at Johnny's Pizza and Steak, 2102 Missouri Blvd. When they arrived on the scene, Temmen was seen running from the rear of the business, along with another suspect. Officers gave chase on foot.

One of the suspects was caught approximately two blocks away, where he was taken into custody. The second suspect was not initially located, however K-9 "Buzz" was called to the scene and he tracked the suspect down a short time later.

The second suspect, who was hiding in a stolen truck, was then taken into custody by officers.

Investigation at the scene showed forcible entry to the business and approximately $500 worth of merchandise was taken.
