The Calvary Lutheran volleyball team broke in its new gym with a three-set win against Smithton, winning 25-18, 22-25, 25-16.
Kara Bernskoetter led the Lions with eight aces and 12 service points and added five digs.
Emily Layson had three aces and 10 kills. Jena Fischer added four kills, Jessica Stark had seven assists and Savannah Laird contributed seven digs.
The Lions are 1-1 this season.
The Lady Lions' JV team advanced to 2-0 with a 25-12, 25-20 win.
Calvary plays again Tuesday when it hosts North Callaway.
