The Jefferson City Jays dropped a 20-18 decision Monday to the Battle Spartans in freshman action at Adkins Stadium.
Elijah Jackson scored three touchdowns for the Jays. He scored on runs of 6 and 8 yards and returned a fumble 73 yards for a touchdown.
The Jays are back in action next Thursday at Waynesville.
