Christian Brothers College wins Class 6 title

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Blake Charlton passed for 220 yards and three scores to lead Christian Brothers College to a 31-24 win Saturday over Rockhurst in the Missouri Class 6 State High School Football Championship Game.

Michael Million caught two of Charton's touchdown throws. Million finished with four catches for 94 yards.

The victory capped an undefeated season for CBC (14-0) and gave the Cadets their first state championship. CBC is the first team from the St. Louis area to win the Class 6 title since Hazelwood Central in 2009.

Rockhurst (12-2) took a 24-17 lead with 1:51 left in the third quarter on Trent Green's52-yard touchdown pass to Lance Boehm. But the Cadets tied it on Kalen Taylor's 2-yard run with 1:37 later.

Charlton who went 17-for-22, hooked up with Kameron Curtis on an 11-yard touchdown throw with 5:43 left for the deciding score.
