Jefferson City man pleads guilty to burglary

A Jefferson City man pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree burglary and three counts of stealing for crimes dating to December 2013 and February of this year.

In the initial case, Casey S. Pointer, 18, of 407 Church St., was charged with stealing items worth between $500 and $25,000, for a Dec. 12, 2013, break-in at a home in the 700 block of Joseph Drive.

A Cole County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement reported that Pointer entered the home and stole electronic items that totaled more than $2,600 to replace. Pointer also said the items were sold for profit.
