GREENVILLE, Ill. - The Westminster Blue Jays saw their season come to a close Saturday, as Webster University posted a 3-1 victory in the semifinals of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.
Webster, the second seed in the event, beat third-seeded Westminster 25-16, 27-25, 18-25, 25-23.
Amanda Kiso (Blair Oaks High School) had a team-high five blocks for the Blue Jays and also had seven kills.
Westminster ends the year with a record of 17-14.
Following the tournament, won by Webster for the fourth straight season with a 25-22, 25-23, 25-19 win against Spalding, the conference released the all-conference team. Kiso was a second-team honoree, ranked third in the league in hitting percentage at .336, as she had 216 kills on the season. She led the Blue Jays with 95 blocks this year.
