COLUMBIA - The Columbia College men's basketball team opened its season with a 70-52 win against the Central Methodist Eagles on Monday night.
Zach Rockers (Helias High School) had 10 points, six rebounds and one block for the Cougars, who are ranked No. 7 in the NAIA Preseason Top 25.
Scott Stegeman (Jefferson City High School) had three points, three rebounds, one assist and one block for Central Methodist.
