CAPE GIRARDEAU - Gabe Trowbridge of Jefferson City is tied for 76th after Monday's opening round of the Class 4 State Golf Championships.
Trowbridge recorded a 90 in the first round of the two-day event at The Dalhousie Golf Club.
Brad Carpenter of Washington and Josh O'Hearn of Timberland are tied for the top spot with 71s.
Rock Bridge tops the eight-team field with a 311, seven shots better than Rockhurst. St. Louis University High is next in a tight leaderboard with a 320, followed by Glendale (321), Chaminade (323) and DeSmet (324).
