The Longview Community College Lakers won their National Junior College Athletic Association region and have advanced to district play.
Cole Distler (Helias High School) went 4-for-7 with two walks, two singles, a double and a home run. He also drove in two runs, stole three bases and scored four runs in the two region games on Thursday.
Corey Beard (Jefferson City High School) pitched one scoreless inning in relief.
