LOS ANGELES (AP) - Yasiel Puig and Dee Gordon broke open a tie game with consecutive RBI doubles in the seventh inning against San Francisco's bullpen, Matt Kemp homered in the eighth and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the NL West-leading Giants 6-2 Saturday.
Zack Greinke (6-1) allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings, striking out eight and walking three. The right-hander extended his streak to 20 consecutive starts in which he's allowed fewer than three runs - the longest by any pitcher since the "dead ball" era.
The Dodgers took the lead in the seventh against reliever Jeremy Affeldt (0-1) when Drew Butera doubled and scored on Gordon's hit inside third base with Pablo Sandoval playing in on the grass with the Dodgers' speedy leadoff hitter at bat. Puig then greeted Jean Machi with a ground-rule double into the left field corner.
PADRES 9, MARLINS 3
SAN DIEGO (AP) - Chase Headley hit a three-run homer in his return to the lineup, Seth Smith drove in four runs and San Diego had a second straight big night at the plate.
Headley, who came off the 15-day disabled list before the game, connected on a 2-2 fastball from Carlos Marmol (0-3) to cap a four-run sixth inning and give the Padres a 6-2 lead.
San Diego, which came in averaging a major league-low 2.8 runs per game, was coming off its highest scoring output since Sept. 25, a 10-1 win over Miami on Friday.
Smith hit a solo homer, a two-run double and an RBI triple for the Padres, who matched Friday night's total of 13 hits.
Casey McGehee hit a two-run homer in the first inning for the Marlins, whose road record dropped to 3-12, worst in the majors.
BRAVES 2, CUBS 0
ATLANTA (AP) - Ervin Santana pitched five-hit ball for seven innings to remain unbeaten, Ryan Doumit snapped a scoreless tie with a pinch-hit double in the seventh and Atlanta beat Chicago.
Santana (4-0) overcame a rain delay in the third inning and outlasted Cubs right-hander Jeff Samardzija, who had his long winless streak continue. Samardzija lowered his ERA to 1.45, second in the NL, but he is still without a win this season.
Santana walked one and struck out seven. Samardzija allowed only two hits with one walk and seven strikeouts in six innings.
Braves left fielder Justin Upton is day to day with a lower back muscle bruise after being hit by a pitch from Samardzija in the sixth and leaving the game.
Braves closer Craig Kimbrel pitched the ninth for his 10th save.
PIRATES 4, CARDINALS 3
PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pedro Alvarez singled in the go-ahead run and Pittsburgh won its season-high fourth straight game.
Alvarez's hit capped a four-run fourth inning against Lance Lynn (4-2) that helped the Pirates wipe out a 3-0 deficit.
Josh Harrison and Ike Davis each had two hits for the Pirates, who have won 11 of their last 14 games against the Cardinals in Pittsburgh. Harrison also hit an RBI single in the fourth.
Jared Hughes (2-0) retired all four batters he faced in relief of starter Edinson Volquez. Mark Melancon earned his fourth save with a scoreless ninth.
Pirates outfielder Starling Marte was lifted for a pinch-hitter because of tightness in his lower back.
ROCKIES 11, REDS 2
CINCINNATI (AP) - Corey Dickerson hit two home runs and two doubles, driving in a career-high four runs for Colorado.
Charlie Blackmon, Justin Morneau and Troy Tulowitzki also homered for the Rockies. Nolan Arenado doubled twice, a day after his 28-game hitting streak ended.
The Rockies got 11 extra-base hits, making things easy for Jordan Lyles (5-0). He struck out eight in six innings and left with a 10-2 lead.
Alfredo Simon (4-2) was tagged for a season-high eight hits and five runs in three innings.
PHILLIES 5, METS 4
NEW YORK (AP) - Ryan Howard had four hits, including a tiebreaking single in the ninth inning, and Jimmy Rollins homered and scored four times to lead Philadelphia past slumping New York.
Chase Utley drove in two runs for the Phillies, who have won the first two games of the series against their NL East foes after dropping four straight to Toronto.
David Wright hit his first home run since opening day, ending the longest drought of his career, and had three RBIs. But the Mets wasted another great chance to score in the late innings, losing their fifth straight and eighth in nine games.
Following some confusion in the eighth, Philadelphia reliever Mike Adams (2-1) escaped a major jam by retiring pinch-hitter Bobby Abreu on a bases-loaded comebacker to keep it tied.
INTERLEAGUE
BREWERS 5, YANKEES 4
MILWAUKEE (AP) - Rickie Weeks hit a two-out RBI single after Jonathan Lucroy moved to third on a balk, Francisco Rodriguez earned his league-leading 15th save and Milwaukee snapped a three-game skid.
Lucroy, Carlos Gomez and Aramis Ramirez each homered off Yankees starter CC Sabathia.
Weeks' chopper skipped through the hole into left in the seventh off Alfredo Aceves (0-1), who was called for a balk two pitches earlier.
Rodriguez allowed two flyouts to the warning track in right in a scoreless ninth. The veteran closer hasn't allowed a run in 19 appearances this season.
Zach Duke (3-0) got the win after escaping a seventh-inning jam by getting Carlos Beltran to bounce into a double play.
