Eldon man gets probation in infant death case

An Eldon man has been placed on five years supervised probation in connection with the death of a 2-month-old baby in April 2013.

Graham Bond, 34, pleaded guilty to first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a controlled substance.

Eldon police and firefighters responded to a home for a report of an unresponsive 2-month-old child.

The child was taken by Miller County ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, where it was pronounced dead.

Charges of distribution of a controlled substance and keeping a public nuisance were dismissed against Bond.
