Carley Anne Baker is Marcullus queen

Carley Anne Baker was selected as queen of the 2014 Marcullus Court at an assembly Friday at Jefferson City High School.

A dance will take place May 10 at Capitol Plaza Hotel. The theme will be "A Roaring, Elegant Affair."

Baker, daughter of Michael and Shelly Baker, attends St. Joseph Cathedral. She is a member of the student body, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life and National Honors Society. She was November Student of the Month, is on the honor roll, participated in the Jefferson City Art Show and is a MASC-certified leadership award recipient.

She plans to attend Missouri State University.

Her assembly escorts were Jerrod Bizzle and Sam Willoh. Her dance escort will be Nate Luebbert.

Other members of the Marcullus Court are:

Clair Marie Ryan, daughter of Hildegard and Michael Ryan, is a member of Future Business Leaders of America, Medical Club, Key Club, Student Council and National Honor Society. Her high school awards include Seals of Excellence in German, Spanish, English, social studies, math and science. She is Top 10 in her class and received scholarships from JCMG and the Cole County Medical Alliance.

She plans to take a year off to work as an apprentice chef in a four-star restaurant in Germany.

Her assembly escorts were Jack Gamble and Lucas Theroff. Her dance escort will be Rex Michitsch.

Ellanie A-Lexis Jamison, daughter of Billy and Kristi Jamison, attends Straight Way Temple of Deliverance. She is a member of the Lady Jay's basketball team, the Lady Jay's track team, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and served as assemblies chair this year in school. In 2013, she earned the most-improved athlete award, the Jeffersonian Award for Community Service and the MASC certified leadership award.

She plans to attend the University of Central Missouri.

Her assembly escorts were Isaiah McBride and Jeremiah Streeter. Her dance escort will be Cristian Patino.

Allyson Druann Metz, daughter of Brian and Wendy Metz, attends Concord Baptist Church. She played four years of softball, one year of Lady Nutella basketball and was a member of the freshman basketball team. Her was selected for First Team, All District, and First Team, All Region in softball. She also appeared on the honor roll.

She plans to attend Columbia College.

Her assembly escorts were Jake and Jackson Walker. Her dance escort will be Jackson Walker.

Kylie Susan Runzi, daughter of Andy and Debbie Runzi, attends Capital City Christian Church. She is a member of the varsity volleyball team, Student Council and National Honor Society. She is on the honor roll and was the Rotary Student of the Month in January. She was recognized as "Academic All-State" in volleyball.

She plans to attend the University of Missouri.

Her assembly escorts were Rylie Klosterman and Brendan Ogletree. Her dance escort will be Gabe Marcantonio.
