EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Jefferson City Jays finished second in the 16-team Edwardsville Invitational that concluded Saturday.
After posting two wins Friday, the Jays opened Saturday's action with a 4-1 win over the Edwardsville (Ill.) Orange team. Singles winners for the Jays included David Clausen (6-1, 7-5) and Spencer Bone (6-0, 6-1).
In the championship dual, the Jays fell 7-2 to Bishop Althoff of Belleville, Ill. Clausen (6-1, 6-1) and Bone (6-0, 6-3) were the winners for Jefferson City.
Jefferson City will host Rock Bridge on Wednesday.
