LEXINGTON, Mo. - The Jays Kids Wrestling Club took 10 first-year wrestlers, as well as three 6-and-under competitors, to the Rookie State Tournament on Sunday.
The Jays earned five first-place finishes and 11 of the 13 competitors in the club earned medals.
Here are the results:
• 6-and-under: Cameron McKee and Griffen McNail, first; Demarkus Lyddon-Allen, fifth.
• 8-and-under: Hurley Jacobs, first; Elijah Teiberis, fourth; Douglas Blaha, sixth.
• 10-and-under: William Berendzen and Daniel Kroeger, first; Shawn Jacobs, third; Clayton Hurley, fourth.
• 12-and-under: Jack Salmons, second.
