Marble gets win as Missouri rips UMKC, 14-0

COLUMBIA - Alora Marble tossed a complete-game shutout Sunday as the Missouri Tigers blanked Missouri-Kansas City 14-0 in five innings to wrap up the Missouri Invitational.

Marble (Blair Oaks High School) allowed just three hits to pick up her third victory of the season. The senior walked two and struck out two.

Casey Stangel had three hits to pace the Tigers, who finished 4-0 in the Invitational. She also drove in four runs.

Kirsten Mack hit her second home run of the season for Missouri, while Taylor Gadbois had two hits to extend her hitting streak to 25 games.

Missouri (22-7, ranked No. 18) is back in action Tuesday in a doubleheader against Illinois at Lindenwood University in St. Charles. The games are slated for 3 and 5 p.m. starts.
