OMAHA, Neb. - Creighton outscored Missouri 46-19 in the second half Thursday night on its way to a 77-51 victory in the opening round of the Women's NIT.
Missouri overcame a 12-point deficit to take a 32-31 lead into halftime. But Creighton opened the second half with an 11-2 spurt to take the lead for good.
Lianna Doty finished with 14 points to lead Missouri, while Bri Kulas added 11.
Marissa Jannings had 19 points for Creighton, while Sarah Nelson totaled 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Missouri ends its season at 17-14, while Creighton improves to 20-13.
