FULTON - Danton Hughes (Helias High School) drove in four runs and had two hits, including a solo home run, as Westminster split a Tuesday afternoon with Central Methodist.
The Blue Jays claimed an 8-2 win in the opener, before falling 7-5 in Game 2.
Cam Backes (Tipton High School) added two hits and an RBI, while Deion Hughes (Helias High School) helped pace Westminster (6-2) with three hits on the day. Mike Washington (Jefferson City High School) chipped in with a hit for the Blue Jays, who open conference play this weekend.
Westminster will play a three-game series against Blackburn College, starting at 1 p.m. Saturday.
