The Capitol City is about to get pretty.
ULTA Beauty will be opening this summer in Jefferson City's Wildwood Crossing shopping center where Petco was previously located. The beauty retailer offers a combination of more than 20,000 prestige and mass beauty products, including cosmetics, fragrances, hair care, skincare, bath and body products, salon styling tools and salon hair care products.
Carolyn Sutphen, event planner for the company, said ULTA has signed a lease for the 3535 Missouri Boulevard property. It is currently renovating the space and the company expects a grand opening this summer. Signs located on the windows of the building also indicate they are looking to hire local staff.
The company has salons located in many of its stores; however, it did not confirm whether or not a salon will be included in the Jefferson City store. The closest ULTA to Jefferson City is currently located in Columbia.
