Jefferson City man faces drug charges

A Jefferson City man was being held on $200,000 bond Friday afternoon on multiple drug charges.

Patrick Love, 26, 811 East Dunklin Street, is charged with one count each of possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine and selling an imitation controlled substance.

In May, authorities said Love was found to be actively using narcotics when taken into custody at an apartment in the 200 block of Cherry Street.

Then early Friday morning, Love sold what he claimed was crack cocaine to a confidential law enforcement informant.

Tests later showed the substance Love sold tested negative for any controlled substances.
