NEW CAMBRIA, Mo. (AP) -- An investigation continues after a Missouri trooper was involved in a shooting.

Authorities say 25-year-old Jeremy Lee Orona of Chula was wanted for probation and parole violations. He was allegedly spotted driving a stolen pickup truck near Bucklin.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper pursued the pickup into Macon County, where the truck was abandoned in a field. Later, police determined Orona had been picked up by a female acquaintance. Her vehicle was pulled over on U.S. 36.
