MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Maya Moore scored 20 points to power the Minnesota Lynx past Phoenix 75-67 on Thursday night, snapping the Mercury's franchise-record 16-game win streak.
Seimone Augustus added 19 points for Minnesota (21-6), which won its eighth straight.
Brittney Griner scored 18 points for the Mercury (22-4), who lost for the first time since June 12.
Phoenix came in leading the league at nearly 50 percent shooting from the field, but was just 37 percent (25 for 68) against the Lynx - led by Diana Taurasi's 5-for-21 effort.
The teams have clinched the top two spots in the West and home-court advantage in the first round. Phoenix, which won the first two matchups, had its lead for the top seed cut to 1 1/2 games. The Lynx visit the Mercury on Aug. 9.
FEVER 76, STORM 67
SEATTLE (AP) - Tamika Catchings scored 16 points to move into third place on the WNBA's career scoring list and Marissa Coleman had eight of her 16 in the fourth quarter to lead Indiana.
Briann January scored 12 points and Shavonte Zellous had 11 for the Fever (13-14), who had lost four of six. Indiana moved into a tie with Washington for second place in the Eastern Conference.
Catchings, who now has 6,454 points, came in trailing Katie Smith by 14. Catchings made two free throws with 1:44 remaining to tie Smith, and then two more with 13.9 seconds to move ahead. Tina Thompson is No. 1 with 7,488, and Phoenix's Diana Taurasi is next at 6,642.
Shekinna Stricklen scored 20 points to lead Seattle (9-20), which has lost seven straight.
The Storm led 55-51 early in the fourth before Indiana rallied behind Coleman and Catchings.
SKY 87, LIBERTY 74
ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) - Sylvia Fowles had 16 points and 14 rebounds, reserve guard Allie Quigley also scored 16 points, and Chicago won in Elena Delle Donne's return.
Jameirra Faulkner had 14 points, Tamera Young added 12 and Epiphanny Prince 11 to help the Sky (11-16) snap a two-game skid and move a half-game behind New York for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Delle Donne, playing for the first time since June 25 while dealing with Lyme disease, scored 10 points on 3-for-8 shooting in about 10 1/2 minutes.
Tina Charles scored 15 points and Cappie Pondexter had 14 for the Liberty (11-15), who have lost two of three.
Leading 65-61 entering the fourth quarter, Chicago scored seven consecutive points to take a double-digit lead with 7:41 left. New York got no closer than nine again.
DREAM 85, SHOCK 75
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tiffany Hayes scored a career-high 27 points, Angel McCoughtry added 21 and Erika DeSouza had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead Atlanta.
The Dream trio combined to go 25-of-37 from the field for the East Conference leaders. Atlanta (17-9) dominated in the paint with 48 points. Sancho Lyttle also hit double figures with 10 points.
Odyssey Sims scored 22 for Tulsa, and Glory Johnson and Skylar Diggins each had 14 points. The Shock (10-18) also fared well in the low post with 44 points.
The Dream victory put a dent in Tulsa's playoff hopes. The Shock fell 2 1/2 games behind fourth-place Los Angeles for the final playoff spot in the West.
