California has a new restaurant this month after restaurateur Chim Duncan purchased a new location in the Mid-Missouri town. Also the owner of two locations in Columbia, including one at Cooper's Landing, Duncan set out bring her Thai cuisine to many more.
After being open just a short time, Duncan said she's pleased with the new location. "I like it, it is a beautiful small town," she said.
Chim's Thai Kitchen, located at 307 N. High St. in California, is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday for now. The restaurant plans to expand its hours into the weekend this fall. The restaurant has a large menu featuring traditional Thai dishes such as stir-fries, curries, fish options, soups, salads, fried rice, pad Thai and more.
