Tigers, Arkansas State could meet at Busch

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The Missouri football team's early-season visit to Arkansas State in 2015 could become a much shorter trip to a far friendlier and more familiar stadium.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reported the St. Louis Sports Commission has asked Arkansas State to move its home game in the second week of September 2015 to the city's Busch Stadium.

Missouri last played in St. Louis at the Edward Jones Dome in 2010, the final year of a four-year neutral site deal with rival Illinois.

Red Wolves athletic director Terry Mohajir said the commission has offered his school a "significant" amount of money to relocate the game from Jonesboro, Ark., a 300-mile drive from Columbia.

Missouri defeated Arkansas State 41-19 in 2013 as part of a home-and-home deal between the two universities.
