Man indicted on sodomy charges from 2008-2010

A Jefferson City man charged after a sexual assault investigation for incidents that occurred from 2008-2010 was recently indicted by the Cole County Grand Jury, sending the case onto the circuit courts for possible trial.

The jury found there was enough evidence to indict Thomas McAdams, 52, with two counts of first-degree sodomy and one count of second-degree sodomy.

In two cases the victim was under the age of 14. Whether or not it was the same person or different persons was not specified.

The probable cause statement, which provides information into the investigation of this case, was suppressed and not made public.

As of Tuesday evening McAdams was being held in the Cole County Jail on $250,000 bond.
