Teens turn up OK after getting lost on horse trail

WASHINGTON, Mo. (AP) - Two 13-year-olds are OK after getting lost while riding their bikes on an eastern Missouri horse trail, prompting a massive search.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1s2qPAl ) reports that police and firefighters from several agencies and the Missouri Department of Conservation joined in the search on Wednesday in Franklin County.

The boy and girl told their parents they were going to ride bikes along the Little Indian Creek Conservation Area. When they didn't return, the parents called authorities.

Four hours later, the teens showed up unharmed a few miles away near a firing range at a conservation area, saying they got lost and couldn't get cellphone coverage. A woman drove them to a place with phone coverage and called 911 to say she had the children.
