Indiana State defeats Missouri State 70-55

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - Manny Arop and Dawon Cummings each scored 14 points to lead Indiana State to its seventh straight win with a 70-55 victory Wednesday night against Missouri State.

Indiana State (14-3, 5-0 Missouri Valley) is off to its best conference start since the 1978-79 season, and is 7-0 at home.

Down 12 points at the half, a 7-0 run by Missouri State pulled the Bears within nine with 16:06 remaining. Demetrius Moore answered for Indiana State with two free throws. Arop followed with a 3-pointer to stretch Indiana State's lead to 48-34 lead with 14:55 to play, and the Sycamores led by double digits the rest of the way.

Moore finished with 12 points. Jake Odum had 10 assists, and now has 536 in his career at Indiana State.

Jarmar Gulley scored 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting to lead Missouri State (12-5, 2-3).
