A storewide sale of 50 percent off inventory began the storefront closure of Petals for You, 830 E. High St., last week.
The Jefferson City business has been open for 14 years, the last four in the current location, and will continue to operate with design consulting and personal shopping services only. The last day at the High Street location is Jan. 31, and owner Leah Ann Boss said she hopes to perfect her services without having the square-footage and overhead of a storefront.
"We just need to do this differently," Boss said, noting that through the years, she's made many friends and contacts and will take this time to utilize her talents in this new format.
Boss will continue to do consulting work on home design interiors with options of paint selection, furniture placement, and revamping. Although she won't have the walk-in shop, she will maintain all her resources for custom ordering, rugs, fabrics, draperies, lamps, etc., just on a consulting basis.
