Boys Basketball: Calvary 59, St. Elizabeth 53

ST. ELIZABETH, Mo. - Calvary Lutheran used a second-half rally to top St. Elizabeth 59-53 on Friday night.

St. Elizabeth led 18-13 after one quarter, 33-26 at halftime and 41-40 entering the final period. Calvary claimed a 19-12 advantage in the fourth quarter to pick up the win.

Trevor Dusheke paced the Lions with 22 points, while Beau Monson chipped in 19.

Braydon Holtmeyer paced the Hornets with 18 points in a losing cause. Brian Wilde added 16 and Cobi Goore had 11.

Calvary Lutheran (11-10) begins Class 1 District 9 Tournament play Monday night against Prairie Home at Glasgow.

St. Elizabeth (3-20) takes on Hermitage in the first round of Class 1 District 9 Tournament play at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Eldon.

St. Elizabeth dropped a 65-19 decision at New Bloomfield on Thursday night.

New Bloomfield led 15-8 after one quarter, 31-14 at halftime and 58-14 after three periods.

Holtmeyer paced the Hornets with eight points.
