Dear Editor:
Given the myriad of problems facing Missouri's General Assembly, is there any reader out there who can endorse the pursuit, via a commission, of a study of the state's official flag? (House panel to hear bill to study state flag, News Tribune Feb. 6.)
With Missouri's highways and infrastructure crumbling, higher education costs rising annually and a plethora of other unresolved problems facing the citizenry, how possibly, in good conscience, can time, energy, and money be justified in such an effort ?
This proposal seems better suited to the confines of a fifth-grade classroom.
