Blair Oaks splits duals with Whitfield, Vianney

ST. LOUIS - The Blair Oaks Falcons wrapped up the wrestling regular season by splitting a pair of duals Friday night.

Blair Oaks opened with a 47-24 loss to Whitfield.

Logan Mudd won by fall in :39 at 145 pounds for the Falcons in the dual. Winning by decisions were Joey Conway at 120 (9-6) and Chance Cumpton at 195 (7-1). Frankie Falotico at 126 and John Karsten at 285 both were winners by forfeit.

Blair Oaks then defeated Vianney 45-35.

Three Falcons - Falotico at 126, Scott Farley at 160 and Cumpton at 195 - all were winners by fall. Farley's victory came in just :12.

Alex Gaydos won by a 3-1 decision at 138, while Levi Dial won by injury default at 220. Winning by forfeit were Mudd at 145, Ben Campbell at 170 and Karsten at 285.

The Falcons end with a record of 17-2 in duals this season.

Blair Oaks will host the Class 1 District 2 Tournament starting Friday. Other area schools in the tournament's 15-team field include Fatima, Tipton and Versailles.
