LINN - The California Pintos ripped Cuba in the first round of the Linn Tournament on Tuesday, 71-40.
David Shaw led the Pintos in scoring with 18 points. Jaden Barr scored 15, and Landon Mouse scored 12.
California outscored Cuba in each quarter: 19-9 in the first, 12-11 in the second, 30-16 in the third and 10-4 in the fourth.
The Pintos (4-0) play Blair Oaks at 6 p.m. today in the tournament.
