Two injured in Monday accident

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday night in Jefferson City.

Police reports show the accident happened just after 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Rainbow Drive.

The investigation revealed that Adam Weaver, 17, Jefferson City, was going east on Country Club and began to turn left onto Rainbow in front of a westbound vehicle driven by Traci Hadley, 49, Joplin, causing a near head-on collision.

Weaver had minor injuries, but refused treatment at the scene.

Hadley was taken to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
