3 hurt in trio of accidents

Larry G. Bish, Jefferson City, was treated at a local hospital after a two-vehicle wreck Saturday evening in the 5000 block of U.S. 50/63.

Jefferson City police said the wreck occurred when Bish was northbound on Liberty Road when his vehicle approached U.S. 50/63 east and crossed the eastbound lanes. It was stopped at the stop sign in the median and turned west into the driving lane of U.S. 50/63.

A westbound Lexus driven by Nicole M. Weddington, Columbia, then struck the rear of Bish's vehicle, causing it to roll onto its side and slide before rolling over onto the north side of the road. It came to rest on its passenger side. Weddington's vehicle went off the south side of the road, coming to rest in the grassy median.

Weddington and her three juvenile passengers were not injured. Bish sought treatment at a local hospital for minor injuries.

All involved were wearing seat belts.

Kayla M. Grosso, 24, Olean, was taken to Capital Region Medical Center with serious injuries early Sunday morning after being involved in a one-vehicle wreck in Miller County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said she was eastbound on Missouri 52 at Skinner Ridge Road at about 1:30 a.m. when her vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

She was not wearing a seat belt.

Two Jeferson City residents and a Rocky Mount man were injured in a two-vehicle wreck Saturday afternoon in Miller County.

The patrol said the wreck occurred when a vehicle was being driven northbound by Joshua L. Bradley, 27, Jefferson City, on Business Route Missouri 54 at the north junction at East View Drive. The vehicle attempted to make a right turn and failed to yield to a eastbound vehicle driven by Michael Musgrove, Fulton.

Musgrove's vehicle struck Bradley's vehicle.

Bradley and passenger Kaydent G. Bradley, 3, were transported by Staff of Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. Another passenger, Jacob G. Bradley, 27, Rocky Mount was taken to Capital Region Medical Center.

All involved were wearing seat belts.
