UCO women beat LU by 27

EDMOND, Okla. - Lincoln placed four players in doubles figures, but it didn't produce a win, as the Blue Tigers suffered a 93-66 loss to Central Oklahoma on Sunday.

Seleena Neal scored a game-high 15 points off the bench, while Kayton Cole and Dorian Briggs both added 12 for Lincoln (4-3 overall, 0-2 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association). Jasmine Gutherie finished with 11 points and seven rebounds and Hunter Yoakum chipped in with nine points for the Blue Tigers, who lost their second straight contest.

Haley Weathers and Chelsea Robinson both scored 14 points to lead five Central Oklahoma players in double figures.

The Broncos (8-2, 2-0) were 35-of-64 (55 percent) from the field and 10-of-19 (53 percent) from 3-point range.

Lincoln was within striking distance for the first 10 minutes of the contest, but Central Oklahoma went on a 18-0 run to break the game open before entering the break with a 49-29 advantage.

The Blue Tigers were never able to pull within 20 again as the Broncos extended their lead to as many as 34 late in the second half.

Lincoln will step away from MIAA play for the final time this season as the Blue Tigers host Illinois-Springfield at 3 p.m. Saturday.
