MEXICO - The California Lady Pintos dropped Mexico 59-38 on Friday to capture the title of the Mexico Tournament.
The Lady Pintos raced out to a 22-7 lead after one quarter and built the edge to 36-11 at halftime.
Mexico outscored California 14-10 in the third quarter and each team scored 13 in the fourth.
Elizabeth Lutz paced the winnerswith 13 points and Kelsey Roush had 12.
Karen Baker scored a game-high 18 points to lead Mexico.
California (2-2) will play Monday at Tipton.
