EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. (AP) - Police say they have located a missing 3-year-old girl safe with her biological mother.

The Kansas City Star reports (http://bit.ly/1tdvdQB) that Excelsior Springs Police Capt. Clint Reno says an Amber Alert had been issued earlier for Ramy Demboski, who was taken earlier in the day from her father's home.

Police said an adult was watching Ramy when a woman came to the door saying her car had broken down and she needed help. After the stranger left, the adult noticed Ramy was missing.

Police say the girl has been the subject of a custody dispute.

Police have issued an Amber Alert in connection with the suspected abduction of Ramy Angeline Demboski that occurred at 3:20 p.m. today in Excelsior Springs, Mo.

Ramy Angeline Demboski was abducted from the home where she lives with her father and stepmother at 116 Persimmon Drive in the western Missouri town.

Excelsior Springs Police Capt. Clint Reno told KCTV (http://bit.ly/1C41BaU) Ramy has been the subject of a custody dispute.

Police said an adult was watching Ramy when a woman came to the door around 3:30 p.m. saying her car had broken down and she needed help. After the stranger left, the adult noticed Ramy was missing.

She is described as a 3-year-old white female with blonde hair and blue eyes, height 3-feet-0, and weight 25 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and yellow pajama shorts with pink fish.

Authorities are looking for a blue or grey Dodge Charger or Challenger bearing an unknown Nebraska registration. They're also trying to contact Ramy's biological mother.

The suspect is believed to be a black female but no further description is available.
